With the recent movement toward healthier eating and the shift toward niche, artisanal and organic products, large brands that were previously thriving are now struggling to retain customers. Millennials are the driving force for this change, with little interest in both big brands and less healthy/processed foods. While these smaller brands and companies are seeing exciting room for growth, larger companies will have to adjust and adapt or risk losing a huge population of shoppers. Large established brands may need to reinvent themselves or create new niche brands to meet evolving consumer needs.
