Darren is the Managing Director of The Mars Agency London. As its first employee, he founded the office in 2010, growing it to be the market leader in the U.K. and Europe with the help of his dedicated and passionate team. He has spent a lifetime discerning how to use shopper behavior insight to motivate brand growth and profit increase. Prior to becoming a Mars lifer, Darren held senior shopper- and retailer-focused positions at Saatchi, Leo Burnett and The Marketing Store. During his career, he has worked closely alongside a wide variety of global clients that include Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, Samsung, P&G, Toyota, McDonalds, Vodafone, Unilever and Mondelez, to name a few. An active industry leader, Darren is a regular chair judge for various awards councils and currently chairs the Institute of Promotional Marketing’s Shopper Marketing Conference. Darren lives just north of London in the leafy suburbs with his wife and two children. In recent years, he has enjoyed coaching at his local rugby club, supports the Arsenal football club and attempts to run 5k as often as life allows.
