While it is not news that teens are leaving Facebook for other social media platforms, a new study released last week brings to light some of the key reasons why. According to the study, the 6% drop in 13-17 year olds on the site partly reflects a perceived lack of safety, with only 9% describing the site as “trustworthy” or “safe”. It’s also not fun anymore. Only 18% of teens described the site as “fun”, while 40% said the same for Pinterest.
